Get-e partners with Travelport as a new ground transportation provider

May 12, 2020

Amsterdam, 2020—Today, worldwide ground transportation provider, Get-e launched an integration with Travelport. In short, this partnership provides travel agents with a solution to book Get-e’s ground transportation services.

To start, the agreement will have the scope to enable over 68,000 travel agencies. These agencies now search and book Get-e’s fleet. The Get-e fleet consists of taxis, saloons, minivans, and exec. vehicle services. The reason Get-e integrated with Travelport is to offer users an improved workflow. Agents book ground transportation providers within a single UI while directly connecting flight bookings. If agents now book ground transportation then Get-e assures a seamless means to and from major transit hubs.

Alexander van Deudekom, CEO at ground transportation provider Get-e, said:

“Travelport is a significant new strategic partner for Get-e. We now connected Get-e as a ground transportation provider to Travelport. As a result, connected agencies now book an easy and cost-effective way to book ground transportation. Get-e is delighted to partner with Travelport. This partnership provides seamless booking access to all agencies. Agencies get access to a range of our services at 900+ destinations. For Get-e on the other hand, this opens up new growth chances for our business.”

Erik Van Markus, director of strategic accounts at Travelport, said:

“We believe that the ability to connect agencies and travelers to an increasingly integrated and multimodal ecosystem of travel choices represents an opportunity to build a seamless experience that delivers real value for every part of the travel ecosystem. Our new relationship with Get-e will enable us to offer our customers an innovative platform for booking and managing their transit and onward travel needs. We look forward to working with the Get-e team towards our shared ambition for growth in Europe and beyond.”

The partnership is in conjunction with Travel and Transport Statesman, a UK-based employee-owned global travel management company specializing in corporate travel management, leisure travel, and group/meeting travel services.

Veronica Skvorova, technical operations manager at Travel and Transport Statesman, said:

“Travel and Transport Statesman’s partnership with Get-e enables us to provide our clients with a reliable ground transportation provider. We work with international companies from all across the globe, so giving them the ability to book all their worldwide ground transportation with Get-e via Travelport Smartpoint, no matter where they’re traveling to, lets them focus on what matters.
